What do people think about lifting logs? Do you believe they are helpful to you? Do you wish there were more on this site from the veteran lifters and those who compete?

I love the log! OK that’s a lie, I hate it. It a very difficult lift and there is a lot more technique involved than people think. I don’t work the log year round just in late summer through fall. Thats my Strongman season. I drop the strict press/push press for the log. I really like the neutral grip it so much easier on my wrists and I do think it a great movement for upper body.

And to the second half of your question, very much so. I’ve been competing for 5 years now and I still seek out the wisdom of the old timers who have been around 15, 20 or more years. If nothing else you have to give the credit for still competing after so long

Appreciate the comments D, but some confusion...I meant lifting logs as in work out logs or reading other work outs. I'm just trying to see if it would be helpful to anyone if i logged my workouts.

LMAO – OK, I’m embarrassed now, reread the original post. I personally love to see what people are doing and what type or results they are getting. So I would like to see your logs. I think there is something to be learned from everyone. I’ve been posting mine here more or less since the start. I honestly don’t think I’ve gotten much traffic on them maybe it’s because I’m a powerlift and not a body builder. (I think most people on this site lean to body building)
